ThinkQuest

ThinkQuest Australia 2010

Each year teams of students across the globe participate in the ThinkQuest International initiative, a competition that challenges teams of students to engage in a topic of their choice, researching information and presenting the results of their work as a website resource for other students. The research, analysis, creativity and teamwork required provides students with an opportunity to develop the very skills so often cited as those necessary in the twenty first century.

Project Information

ACCE brings you guided study tours to ISTE's Annual Conference

The ACCE will offer its third fully escorted, guided study tour to Vancouver and the United States, including ISTE's Annual Conference and Exposition in Denver.

This is an opportunity for educators from Australia to participate in a fully escorted guided tour. The tour will be an opportunity to:

    * Network with world recognised practitioners
    * Visit leading schools
    * Visit significant corporate ACCE partners
    * Attend the ISTE Conference, Denver
    * Dialogue with ACCE contacts from all over the world
    * Be part of the international delegation to the ISTE Conference; and
    * Be the I in ISTE.

Join ACCE Board member and current President of QSITE Jason Zagami, on an intensive journey to meet influential and contemporary educators, have time to be with them, join in discussions and attend specifically designed workshops.

Spend time with colleagues in Vancouver, visit significant corporate ACCE partners, have small group time with key international educators, enjoy the celebration of ICT with 15,000 like-minded educators, receiving briefings from ISTE's key people, meet and work with other international IT educators and enjoy two weeks immersed in technology in education.

Visit schools, explore new technologies and enjoy the experience. 'This tour is all about meeting people, networking, developing contacts and communication links'.

The tour will commence on 17 June 2010 and conclude on 3 July.

SiMERR

Computing Studies Teachers Network: Rural and Regional
This project is hosted by the ACCE with funding provided by the National Centre of Science, ICT and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia (SiMERR). The project provides professional learning opportunities for teachers of Years 10-12 Computing Studies from rural and regional areas to participate in a professional network.
