Teachers Learning Technologies Competencies Project
Where To Next?

It is now ACCE's intention to gather feedback during October 1999 and then print the statements in full in a special issue of Australian Educational Computing, ACCE's biannual journal.

The purpose of the statements are to provide some guidelines to systems and schools who will inevitably implement learning technology competencies programs to encourage teachers to use learning technologies. These statements will also inform developers of teachers professional development programs in learning technology, including groups developing initiatives under the Quality Teaching Program.  It is hoped that the ACCE statements will help systems and schools balance the issues in any teacher learning technology competence program,  while taking a broader view and striving towards conditions for teachers which result in improved learning outcomes for students and improved professional lives for teachers.
